THE new community café in Locking will launch next week.

The café will be held in the church centre in Lychgate Park and will be officially launched with an all-day event on Wednesday from 9am-4pm.

It was set up following the Locking To The Future event in June, which brought people from the village together to discuss ways to improve their surroundings.

One of the most popular suggestions was the need for a village meeting place, and priests Anne and Richard Lee subsequently offered the use of the church hall for it to take place.

The next Locking To The Future event will be held at The Coach House in Manor Gardens on August 30 at 7.30pm.
