RAIL passengers from Weston will be able to travel directly to Cardiff from Sunday.

RAIL passengers from Weston will be able to travel directly to Cardiff from Sunday.

First Great Western is reintroducing trains from Taunton to the Welsh capital via Weston as part of its new winter timetable.

Hourly services will begin on December 14 from Bristol Parkway to Weston and between Cardiff and Taunton.

Last week, the rail company's managing director, Andrew Haines, quit saying he wanted to take a break.

First Great Western has been criticised for delays by Weston's MP John Penrose and was identified earlier this year having the worst level of customer satisfaction.
