THE national retailer moving into the vacant Mothercare unit in the Sovereign Shopping Centre has been announced.
The centre’s manager Nick Cooke told the Mercury today that 99p Stores will now take over the site at the end of next week.
The Mothercare unit had been empty since the chain vacated it on June 23 to move to a new site in the Phillips Road retail estate.
Mr Cooke said: “We’re delighted to secure a national retailer such as 99p Stores. The fact that the Mothercare unit has been empty for no more than four weeks I think has been testament to the strong shopping location of the centre.
“99p Stores will undoubtedly prove a good attraction for the centre.”
