NATIONWIDE public sector strikes planned for tomorrow (Thurs) are not due to affect patients at Weston General Hospital, a spokesman has told the Mercury.
The strikes – involving Unite trade union members – will see thousands of NHS staff up and down the country take to the streets in protest against pension reforms.
Picketing will be taking place outside hospitals in Bristol, but not Weston.
A spokesman from Weston Area Health Trust said previously booked appointments would be unaffected by the strikes.
And she said anyone requiring emergency treatment should also visit the A&E department as they would on any other day.
