North Somerset residents wanting to get on the property ladder will be able to get specialist advice next month.

The council is throwing a home ownership event at Weston Football Club’s Woodspring Stadium, in Winterstoke Road, on October 11 from 3-7.30pm.

The event has been organised in partnership with Help To Buy South to give people the opportunity to find out about various affordable options for home ownership.

Now in its third year, the event brings together a host of experts to talk about buying a home.

Cllr Elfan Ap Rees, deputy leader and executive member with responsibility for housing, said: “We know many potential buyers are facing an increasingly difficult situation but there are now several more affordable routes to home ownership than just buying outright.”

Entry is free but register for a ticket at www.nshome
