Patient is bailed after alleged hospital assault

A MAN was arrested after assaulting two police officers and security staff at Weston General Hospital on Sunday.
Police revealed the assault as part of a summary of incidents which occurred in and around Weston over the weekend.
A woman was interviewed after a pound coin was thrown in someone’s face and threats were made in Summer Lane, Worle, on Saturday.
The suspect was interviewed and bailed pending further enquiries.
On Sunday, a woman was attacked by another woman in Post Office Road, Locking, after making false claims about an illness she said she had. Upon admitting they were false, she had her hair pulled and was slapped in the face.
On the same day, police were called to Weston General Hospital after reports of a man being abusive to staff and his girlfriend while being treated.
He had been asked to leave numerous times and refused, and then assaulted a security guard when they tried to escort him from the building.
He denied the offences and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
