AN ELDERLY man was flown to hospital following a car crash today (Mon).
The man, believed to be in his 70s, was involved in a collision between a Vauxhall Astra and a Ford car in North End Road, Yatton, at 11.40am.
The pensioner, who was driving one of the cars, was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital after suffering chest injuries.
Police officers closed the road to allow the helicopter to land but it has now reopened.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary is calling for witnesses to come forward by calling 101.
