GLORIOUS sunshine brought out the crowds in their numbers for the Brent Knoll village fete last Saturday.

The fete, held on the village green, included dancing from children at Brent Knoll First School and a variety of stalls, but any fears of a showdown between cowboys and native Americans taking on the Wild West theme were allayed.

Councillor Bob Filmer, a member of the fete committee, said: “We were very lucky with the weather and had a great turn out, and it wasn’t too hot so people stayed inside.

“The school dancers were great, there was a whole range of food and drink and West Croft Cider was there too, it was very busy and it went as well as we could have hoped.”
