Children and community groups from across North Somerset enjoyed a tasty tradition yesterday (Tuesday) as they tucked into a range of delicious pancakes.

People marked Shrove Tuesday by hosting parties and get-togethers in towns and villages across the district.

At St Paul’s Church, in Walliscote Road in Weston, children enjoyed a pancake party complete with games and a bouncy castle. The Multicultural Friendship Association also held an event at the Badger Centre, in Wadham Street.

Villagers did not want to miss out on the fun either, as parties took place in Congresbury, Kingston Seymour, Blagdon, Winscombe and Banwell.
