Worle held its first street fair in 10 years on Friday, where hundreds of people enjoyed the festivities.

Worle Traders Association organised the fair alongside Worle Lions Club and the Lamb Inn.

The High Street was filled with people enjoying the entertainment and visiting the shops and stalls.

It raised £700 for the Lions and traders association.

Association chairman Mike Skidmore said: “What an amazing turnout. We couldn’t have asked for more support from residents.

“The event has been absent for 10 years but it is certainly back with a bang.

“With the current financial difficulties facing the economy it is great to see such a response to an event like this and to see so many people getting in the festive spirit and supporting small businesses.

“We will definitely repeat this next year and I can’t wait to start work on it.”
