A MUM searching the internet for the Citizens Advice Bureau was horrified when she accidentally stumbled across a pornographic website.Jackie Downey was looking for benefits information when her computer screen was filled with pictures of naked women. The mother-of one said she wants to alert other people, particularly the elderly, who may be caught out by the internet browsing mistake. The 38-year-old, of Artemesia Avenue, Weston, was logged on to the search engine ask.com and typed in 'weston super mare citizens advice'. The list generated included one headed 'weston super mare services' which mentioned housing, social services and benefits. But when the former bus company cleaning supervisor clicked on the link, she found herself on an adult website called Camazon which displays pornographic images.Mrs Downey said: "I was so shocked I nearly dropped the computer mouse. I told my husband straight away because I did not want him to think I had been looking at porn."I am worried a parent with a young child or a pensioner looking for benefit or legal advice could come across the same website."After I accidentally got logged on to the site, I kept receiving all sorts of pornographic pop-ups. In the end, a friend had to use a special programme to clear my computer."A Camazon spokesman said: "We have no control over what or how a search engine displays information. The listing is obviously wrong. "We have no benefit from such a situation. All we end up with is a bunch of angry people which isn't good for our company. "We will send ask.com an e-mail and request that the link be pulled.
