A POST office has been targeted in a robbery this afternoon (Fri).

Two men walked into Lympsham Post Office at about 2.30pm and made away with some money before the police were called.

Investigations have begun at the scene in Lympsham Road.

A police spokesman said: “There has been a robbery at the post office. We were called at 2.38pm.

“Two men entered the premises and left in a vehicle.

“We believe they made off with money.”

The spokesman urged anyone with information to contact the force on 101.

It is the second time the post office has been broken into in 2012, after a previous incident in February.

The building was broken into in the early hours of February 21, with the intruders fleeing the scene with a small amount of cash.
