With Christmas Day almost here and presents slowly appearing under the tree, children across Somerset have been getting into the festive spirit with their nativities.

Proud parents helped create the very best costumes for their shining stars to wear during the Christmas show while the youngsters practised their lines and perfected their songs for opening night.

Some schools focused on the tale of Jesus’ birth while others put their own spin on the biblical story.

Mark First Academy turned their nativity into a talent show as a panel of judges watched the nativity scenes and scored them out of 10.

St Martin’s, St George’s and Ashbrooke House primary schools all stuck to tradition with their performance.

But whatever the show, audiences across Somerset were brought to their feet to cheer on their little angels.
