Health leaders who will decide on Weston A&E’s future will be answering questions at North Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group’s (CCG) next month.

It is responsible for planning and buying healthcare services and the CCG says its annual meeting will provide an opportunity to review the past year and ‘look ahead to future challenges’. A question and answer session will also take place.

CCG chairman Dr Mary Backhouse said: “We’re delighted to invite people to our AGM so they can find out more about the work we have been doing and ask us questions.

“We have a lot to be positive about from our successes and initiatives from the previous year, while recognising the challenges which NHS services face around the country.”

The meeting will start at 3pm at Clevedon Town Council’s offices, in Old Street, on September 25.
