YOUNG Rainbows travelled to locations across North Somerset to take part in their first division sleepover adventure.

Girls aged between five and seven from groups in Yatton, Congresbury, Wrington, Churchill and Blagdon took part in the evening, which was organised by Rainbow, Brownie and Guide leaders from across the area.

The Rainbows took part in a circus skills workshop at Yatton Rugby Club before heading off to their sleepovers.

During the workshop, they learned how to twirl hula hoops, balance peacock feathers, juggle scarves and spin plates while walking along a course. The tasks were designed to improve the girls’ dexterity and balance.

Division Commissioner Teresa Aldridge said: “Leaders combined their skills and knowledge to provide as many Rainbows as possible with the opportunity to take part in the event and enjoy the experience of a sleepover with guiding friends.”
