A VARIETY of ales and ciders will be on sale on Weston’s seafront this weekend.
The Weston Lions Club is holding its annual real ale and cider festival on the Beach Lawns tomorrow (Friday) to Sunday.
Last year’s event raised £39,000 for charity.
This year, the Lions are supporting Diabetes UK, the RNLI, Crossroads Care and Baytree School.
A range of ales by Hewish-based brewer RCH will be available.
The list of beers includes the Double Header, a golden ale made with a pale malt and British goldlings hops.
RCH describes the beer as ‘very drinkable’ despite its 5.3 per cent alcohol content.
Butcombe Brewery, which is based in Wrington, will also have a range of ales on sale, including the Yetti and Moxy IPA.
Other ales come from Wiltshire, Glastonbury and Exmoor.
For cider lovers, Thatchers Cider produced in Sandford will be on sale.
There will also be cider from Hewish, produced by Crossman’s.
The event will be on the Beach Lawns tomorrow to Sunday at 10.30am-11pm.
