A fundraising campaign has been launched in a bid to find a Burnham-on-Sea man who has been missing for six weeks.

Dean Tate, aged 40, was last seen at around 2.30am on February 24 at TA8s bar in Pier Street, Burnham.

Since then police, fire and coastguard services have carried out extensive but unsuccessful searches of the area to find him.

A Find Dean Tate community group has also been set up on Facebook while members are now appealing for donations to use as a £1,000 reward for anyone able to provide concrete evidence on his whereabouts.

Dean is white, 5ft 8ins tall with short dark brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black jeans and black Nike trainers.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and give reference number 5218042329.
