THE closure of a main road in Banwell to lay a new water main has been postponed.
Wolvershill Road was due to be closed from May 8-25 for Bristol Water to lay the new main but the work will now take place later in the year.
Bristol Water says negotiations are ongoing with North Somerset Council and a new date will be announced soon.
The planned closure of Old Banwell Road from May 9-11 is set to continue, and will affect the length of the road in Locking from a point 200 metres west of its junction with the A371 for 100 metres.
The work is being undertaken to lay a new main from Banwell to Hutton, with a spur to the Locking Parklands development.
