Sewer renovation work to lead to village road closure

PUBLISHED: 11:02 22 September 2017 | UPDATED: 12:56 22 September 2017

Roadworks will be taking place in three villages over the coming weeks.

Cleeve, Langford and Wrington will all experience some level of disruption as roads will be closed to make sure the improvements can be carried out.

Contractors began work at Long Lane in Wrington on Monday and the road will be closed until
Friday.

Attention next week will turn to the A370 in Cleeve on Tuesday when roadworks will be carried out, however North Somerset Council says the road will not need to be closed.

Temporary traffic lights will then be put up at Coxs Green in
Wrington on September 28-29 before a large scheme is carried out in Langford during the first week of October.

Motorists will be diverted along the A38 when Langford Road is closed on October 2.

The diversion will be in place for five days as Wessex Water needs to carry out sewer renovation works in the village.
