BLANKET school closures will not be enforced by North Somerset Council tomorrow (Thurs).

BLANKET school closures will not be enforced by North Somerset Council tomorrow (Thurs).

Due to unpredictable and variable weather conditions headteachers will be deciding whether their school will be open on the actual morning of lessons.

Most schools are aiming to decide by about 7.30am tomorrow.

A North Somerset Council spokesman said they also hope that waste collection services can resume tomorrow, but this will depend on road conditions.

A decision on this will not be made until the rubbish lorries attempt to leave the depot so they can assess how icy the highways are.
