Proud parents were invited to The Playhouse, in High Street, at the weekend for the annual Golden Woggle awards.

These awards are for scouts, beavers and cubs and the prestigious ceremony included gold awards for the youngsters.

The worthy winners were celebrated by their leaders, parents as well as special guests councillor John Crockford-Hawley and Weston’s mayor Alan Peak.

The awards were not just for the children either, with some of the top leaders also scooping an award for the time and effort they put in to helping the organisations.

The afternoon was hailed a ‘huge success’ by organisers as the children were laughing and smiling throughout the day.

However, they cannot rest for long as Weston’s scouts, beavers and cubs all have an abundance of activities set for 2017.
