An East Huntspill wildlife charity will hold a training day for new volunteers this weekend.

Secret World Wildlife Rescue will host a session for potential new response drivers from 10am-12.30pm on Saturday, which will be followed by orphan rearing training from 1.30-3.30pm.

Secret World founder Pauline Kidner said: “We are looking for dedicated volunteers prepared to collect contained animals from either vets or members of the public and to bring those animals in to us.

“The day will give training for those wishing to learn how to do small animal rescue and understand how orphans are reared.

“We are totally reliant on volunteers helping us in all areas of the charity from reception and maintenance to animal care but this day is specific to response driver training.”

To book a place on the sessions, email pauline.kidner@secretworld.org or call 01278 783250.
