WILDLIFE lovers from across Somerset joined forces to make their voices heard on culling – by forming a giant badger’s face visible from the sky.

Secret World in East Huntspill organised the photo, which was taken by The Badger Trust, after people formed a face using black and white t-shirts and cards, which was then snapped by a helicopter.

The photo was taken as part of a wider anti-cull film being produced by the trust.

Anti-cull groups have criticised the Government over badger culling and organised the day to raise awareness of the issue.

Secret World founder Pauline Kidner said it was ‘incredible to believe’ the Government was ‘still intent on pursuing a flawed policy’.

She added: “This is despite the results of a comprehensive eight year Randomised Badger Culling Trial, the largest experiment of its kind in the world, which came out against culling.”
