TWO sisters who run their own equestrian store have reached the national finals for a business award.
Equicraft, in Rodney Road, Backwell was set up in 2006 and is run by sisters Jane Atherton, aged 27, and Libby Holliday, aged 30, who bought the business with their 32-year-old brother Chris Atherton.
By providing everything possible for horse and rider, the sisters are also qualified to fit riding hats and body protectors.
They have now reached the finals of the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) business awards, and are in line to collect the BETA retailer of the year award.
Jane said: “We’re delighted to have reached the finals of such a prestigious award, particularly as we were nominated by our customers.
“We always try to offer a personal yet professional service and it’s satisfying to know that our efforts have been rewarded.”
As part of the final judging Equicraft’s trade suppliers have been asked to add their votes to the customers’. BETA is also conducting a series of incognito mystery shops and telephone calls to the short-listed candidates. Sisters Jane and Libby will find out if they will be taking home an award at the BETA gala dinner on February 19.
