A HOLIDAY cottage development has applied to put up more than 1,000 solar panels to generate electricity.
Butcombe Holiday Cottages in Aldwick Lane, Butcombe, has applied to North Somerset Council to mount 1,032 panels.
In its application the firm estimates the panels would generate about 390,000kWh of electricity each year, with the temporary development expected to last for the next 25 years, at which stage it will be taken down.
A decision is expected by the end of May.
