AN 18-YEAR-OLD Weston woman is raising money for Mind – a charity which works with people with mental illness.

Sophie Juleff has suffered from mental health problems for almost four years and wanted to do something for others in a similar situation.

Sophie has had long hair for most of her life, but decided to chop it all off to help raise money for the charity close to her heart.

She said: “I found it hard to talk to people due to the stigma around mental health.

“In the end I thought why should I let my mental health rule me, when I can rule it.

“I have been in and out of hospitals and suddenly one day, I just wanted to raise money for a mental health charity.”

To sponsor Sophie, visit before July 4.
