A big breakfast raised money for a Weston church’s expansion.

Leaders at St Paul’s Church, in Walliscote Road, are hoping to build a £5.5million extension, which will incorporate a café, youth area and a space for children to play in.

People were invited to tuck into a full English breakfast with all the trimmings on Saturday.

The project to build the extension, called The Quay, has already received more than £170,000 in donations. It is hoped grant funding can also be secured.

The next fundraising event will be a Valentine’s meal on February 17 at 7.30pm.
