COASTGUARD teams had to scale Weston’s Knightstone Island with harnesses to rescue two boys cut off by the tide yesterday (Monday).

Police reported that the boys had become trapped at about 2.50pm before a Coastguard team from Weston and the RNLI, backed up by Burnham Coastguard, pulled the boys to safety.

They set up a harness point and scaled the side of Knightstone Island to rescue the stranded boys.

By 5pm they had been rescued and were safe and well.
