‘Strictly Come Dancing’ on the Grand Pier

IT WAS like an episode of Strictly Come Dancing last week at the Grand Pier when bank staff replaced their suits with glitzy costumes.
Those working at HSBC raised £15,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support during the energetic contest.
About 250 people turned up in support and regional director Lester Wynne Jones judged the competition, along with dance teachers Michele Webber and James Whitehead.
There was a raffle with prizes ranging from overnight stays in five star hotels to meals out and watching a game of polo.
Phil Sargeant, area commercial director, and area commercial manager Debbie Hosking took the winning spot.
