It has been more than a month since Weston General Hospital’s A&E department temporarily closed overnight due to it being deemed ‘unsafe’.

We want your opinions on what the future holds for the town’s A&E.

The hospital was inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which rated urgent and emergency services as inadequate due to shortages in staffing.

As a result, the hospital board made the decision to close between 10pm and 8am– with patients who would have normally been taken to Weston, being taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, BRI or Taunton.

Since then, there have been numerous questions about the future of the department and whether it will ever re-open.
