A group of friends has raised more than £1,600 for Weston Hospicecare to thank staff for the support they have given Denise Ollett.

Helen, Evie, Caroline, Jenny and Jean took part in the Midnight Beach Walk under the name Team Tiger Feet.

The women raised £1,670 for the charity to thank staff and volunteers for supporting their friend Denise who has been diagnsed with cancer.

Denise has been using the Time for You service and receiving physiotherapy and complementary therapy.

She said: “I finished my chemo in April 2017, and I am getting fitter every day. My cancer is not curable, but I am well now and intend to stay well.

“My family and friends have supported me throughout my treatment and along with the rest of Team Tiger Feet, I am so grateful for their sponsorship for the Midnight Beach Walk.”

The hospice, in Uphill, supports people with life-limiting conditions.
