A TEENAGER trapped under a car, which was perched on the edge of a cliff, was rescued by fire crews early this morning (Tue).
The 18-year-old man had been involved in a collision, causing the car to leave the road, flip on its side and sit on the very edge of the cliff at the toll road in Kewstoke.
The car’s front was pointing towards the road, and the male was unable to escape because his arm was trapped under the car.
Five fire crews – three from Weston and two from Avonmouth - were called to the scene at around 12.03am and due to the car’s position it was feared the vehicle would go over the cliff.
Teams secured the vehicle with chains and then used an airbag to lift the car up so they could free the teen and pull him out.
He was then taken to hospital with a possible fracture to his left arm.
Fire crews, along with paramedics and police, were at the scene until about 1.30am and the vehicle was secured.
