Villagers turned out in numbers last week to celebrated all that is great about Somerset.
Sandford-based Thatchers Cider hosted a special Somerset Day party at The Railway Inn on May 11, welcoming guests for a showcase of local food, drink and entertainment.
Guests were treated to a cheese and cider tasting session after a performance from the Mendip Morris Men started party in style.
The pub also showcased artwork from Churchill Primary School students, who created masterpieces based on what they love about the county.
The event marked the third annual Somerset Day, which was created by tourism group Passion For Somerset to celebrate all things great about the county.
May 11 was selected as the day to celebrate the county after a public vote as it coincides with when Alfred the Great, the former King of Wessex, led Somerset to victory over the invading Viking army in 878.
