Unarmed combat displays, band parades, field gun races and war stories are just some of the activities taking place during Weston-super-Mare’s Armed Forces Weekend.

The event is running in conjunction with Weston Air Festival and more than 170,000 visitors are expected to flock to the seafront to take in the action.

Armed Forces Weekend starts on Saturday with a parade along the seafront and an opening ceremony in the arena on Beach Road.

Two days of exciting demonstrations, displays, competitions and military music will follow.
