THIS young Weston group left rivals in a spin by bagging a clutch of trophies at a regional baton-twirling competition.

The Weston Spirals team took a host of prizes in both individual and group classes, with Izzy Few proving the star by finishing first across the South West in the six-and-under age group.

Troupe leader Claire Edgar said: “I am extremely proud of what the girls have achieved.

“The girls have definitely got the ‘twirling bug’ and I know they can’t wait until the next training session, so we can continue with our hard work in preparation for the next competition.”
