Traffic is building on the approaches to Weston-super-Mare as people seek to make the most of the warm bank holiday weather.

Jams are beginning to build on the A370 and M5 as motorists seek to visit the town.

Queues are forming southbound on the motorway heading towards junction 21 (Weston-super-Mare) from junction 20 (Clevedon).

And traffic is building on the main approaches to Weston, with the A370 inbound particularly busy.

The AA says speeds are heavily reduced with drivers able to only travel at about 10mph currently.

Heavy traffic is expected to build northbound on the M5 later on as people look to return home from the sunny bank holiday weekend.

At this stage, there are small pockets of traffic between junctions 20 and 25 (Taunton).
