A MOTORCYCLIST has been airlifted to hospital following a crash this afternoon (Tues).
He is being taken to Frenchay Hospital following a collision with a silver Mercedes in Sandford Road in Winscombe.
The accident at 2.15pm has shut the road and diversions are being put in place.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, was reported to have suffered a head injury.
An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesman said he believed the man’s condition was not life-threatening.
It is the second motorcyclist accident in as many days following an accident yesterday (Mon) in Weston where a biker suffered a suspected broken wrist after reportedly colliding with a fence in Somerset Avenue.
