A SOMERSET village’s main street was awash with festive good cheer as residents celebrated its annual lamp-lit Christmas fair.
Father Christmas stopped off in The Borough in Wedmore to give out presents to lucky youngsters, and the village’s Christmas tree was officially lit after a special carol service.
The fair, which is now in its eighth year, also saw a nativity play and Sister Ruth, the singing nun on her moped.
Organiser Janice Beer said: “The streets were full of people and there was a fantastic festive atmosphere. Everyone got into the Christmas spirit.”
