WHETHER you run a sports club, youth group, young carers organisation or scout troop you could win up to £1,000 simply by filling in an application form.

Go! Kids Go! has been launched by the Mercury in partnership with the Weston Lions Club to offer vital funds to groups working with young people.

While there will be three main grants of £1,000 handed out by local businessmen, there are also smaller sums starting at £100 which are available from the Lions fund of £2,000.

You could spend the money on new kit, training or improvements to your clubhouse – as long as it is intended to improve the health and wellbeing of youngsters at the group.

You must be based within postcode areas BS22, BS23, BS24 and BS25 and a registered club, charity or not-for-profit organisation encouraging sport or wellbeing.

To apply, simply log onto www.westonmercury.co.uk and download an application form or pick one up from the Mercury office.

When you have completed the form, send it to Go! Kids Go!, The Weston, Worle & Somerset Mercury, 32 Waterloo Street, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1LW or hand it in at our office.

The deadline for applications is June 15 and the winners will be announced in the Mercury on July 26.
