Hundreds of villagers spent an evening exploring the wonders of Wedmore at an annual Christmas fair.
Wedmore By Lamplight took place in the heart of the village and drew a large crowd despite the chilly temperatures.
The event started with the traditional crib service and lighting of the Christmas tree at St Mary’s Church.
Many of Wedmore’s shops opened until 9pm for shoppers to enjoy some shopping in a thoroughly festive atmosphere.
Stalls also lined the streets selling everything from sweets to plants, while a hog roast and mulled wine were served to warm everyone’s spirits.
The talented Burtle Band sang a series of classic Christmas carols to entertain visitors while children met Santa and enjoyed some street entertainment.
