TWO artists from Weston have added their names to a list of celebrities and designers who have taken part in recreating a classic children’s character – all in aid of charity.

Husband and wife Josh and Aimee Williams have designed a sculpture called Wish Ewe Were Here for Shaun In The City, which is a collection of 70 sculptures of Shaun the Sheep currently on display all over Bristol.

Josh, aged 22, and Aimee, aged 23, met while studying for a foundation diploma in art and design at Weston College.

Josh said: “The idea behind our Shaun was to create an exciting and bright design inspired by the beautiful scenery and buildings of Bristol and its surrounding area, as well as having a lot of intricate detail you could look at for hours.

“We spent almost 200 hours between us working on our Shaun – as well as working our normal jobs – so there were some very long days and nights.”

Wish Ewe Were Here can be found on the terrace of the Avon Gorge Hotel, overlooking the Clifton Suspension Bridge, until the trail ends on August 31.
