Competitions and displays as Weston Flower Show returns this weekend

Beautiful plants will spring up in Grove Park on Saturday with the return of the Weston-super-Mare Flower Show.

The event, organised by Weston Horticultural Society and supported by the town council, will have a range of competitions to enter.

Throughout the day, there will be entertainment from Saraband and Waves Of Harmony as well as talks and demonstrations on bee-keeping and wood-turning.

People will be able to enter their flowers and vegetables into competitions and categories also include flower arrangements, photography and homecraft.

There will also be competitions for children to take part in, and a number of displays

The certificates will be presented to the winners at 4pm by Weston’s mayor Jos Holder.

The show, which is in its 73rd year, will be held in the park, in High Street, from 10am-5pm.

Schedules and information on how to enter the competitions can be found at the Visitor Information Centre at the Tropicana in Marine Parade.
