Weston Museum calls for stylists to get involved in body art festival

A body art festival will be held at Weston Museum to coincide with its facial hair and tattoo exhibition.

The museum, in Burlington Street, is inviting artists and stylists to take part in the festival on May 5-7 so visitors can try out a new style for their hair, skin or nails.

Organisers are calling for people who can offer their services.

Learning and events officer Katherine Bell said: “In this area there is such an amazing assortment of people who decorate themselves in fascinating ways, with interesting tattoos, stunning beards, gorgeous make-up and many other forms of visual interest from face-painting to nail art.

“We want to celebrate the people who make this possible with their creative and talented styling skills.”

Stylists can charge for services, with the museum taking a percentage of the takings.
