This week’s round up of readers’ pictures sent in through iwitness24.

The second of the three signets at Marine Lake caught and wrapped after trying to fly off the lake but then crash landing in the courtyard of the Knightstone Causeway flats complex. The signet sustained graze injures to its feet and has now been reunited with its brother/sister to recover at Secret World. Each week we put together a gallery of photos sent in by our readers via iwitness24 - a photo-sharing website run by the publishers of the Mercury.

Photo Challenge: Our last photo challenge was ‘Autumn Colours’ and we saw a nice series of seasonal images of Ashcombe Park submitted by Troy Hares from Weston. Troy said: “Well I went for a walk around Aschombe Park today and got some amazing autumnal shots - really true sine that winter wont be long away as the temperature is slowly dropping and the leaves are falling from the trees.”

Our next picture challenge is ‘From Sunrise to Sunset’ - (3 photos per person). To enter, go to www.iwitness24.co.uk and upload your glowing photos of Weston to the Weston ‘Photo Challenge’ group.

Here are some pictures I took of squirrels or squizzles as my family nick name them! Perfect time of year to take photos of these amazing animals as the leaves fall from the trees so do the acorns, ready to be collected for the winter or for a quick snack. After three signets appeared on Marine Lake on Sunday afternoon, two Volunteers from Secret World Wildlife Rescue were tasked with catching them and relocating them to a more suitable environment. The first signet was easily caught with the offer of bread to draw them into catchable range, however, the other two are now very cautious and remain on the lake.
