The icy temperature caused the sea to freeze and Weston beach was covered in a carpet of snow.

This beautiful photo of the beach was taken by Richard Norman, while the pictures of the pier and seafront were snapped by Eleanor Young.

More snow is expected across North Somerset tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday and people are urged to take extra care in the slippery conditions.
