A Weston-super-Mare business will donate to a homeless charity for every foreign student coach which comes to the area.

Host Weston is run by Paul Wood and Dennis Brown, and the duo are looking for families to accommodate French students and young people visiting the town during the spring and summer weekends.

Families will be paid to collect visitors from a designated drop-off point and provide them with meals and a place to stay.

Host Weston will then donate £50 to umbrella group Heart Of Weston, which was set up to address homelessness issues.

Speaking about their plans, Paul said: “We have seen the problem surrounding homelessness in our town and thought this would be a way to help out, however small it may be.

“No one should have to sleep on the streets in 2018 and we hope to change this.”
