A party in the park has been organised for Weston-super-Mare for this weekend.

St Paul’s Church is hosting the summer party at Clarence Park, in Walliscote Road.

Summer Vibe will start at 4pm on Saturday, and feature live music, inflatable activities and competitions.

People will also be able to tuck into cream teas, a hog roast and a barbecue.

Later in the evening, there will be a barn dance with food and a bar, running from 7-10pm.

St Paul’s vicar Andrew Alden said: “Everyone is invited.

“This promises to be a massive summer event of fun and excitement for all the family.”

Wristbands will be available on the gate, costing £3 for adults, £2 for children aged under 16, and free for children aged under two.

St Paul’s Church is based opposite the park, and its Night of 1,100 Lights events have attracted around 2,500 people for the past two years.
