Weston-super-Mare Coastguard and RNLI called to children in difficulty off Grand Pier

Weston-super-Mare’s RNLI and coastguard crews were called to reports of three children in difficulty off the seafront yesterday (Tuesday).

Lifeboat crews was mobilised at about 6.12pm after receiving reports of three people in difficulty off the Grand Pier.

But nothing was found following a search of the area so the teams were stood down by Milford Haven Coastguard.

The RNLI’s boats were refilled and ready for service by 8pm the same evening.
