Weston Foodbank has once again teamed up with one of the town's MacDonalds.

Three Weston-super-Mare McDonald’s’ restaurants will once again support the town’s foodbank.

Lambtrad, which runs the three stores, has said it will support the charity, based in North Street, in the run up to Christmas.

From Saturday until December 10, there will be donation tins in the three restaurants – run by Lambtrad – and this year’s donations of dried food, tins and toiletries will also be welcomed at the Regent Street McDonald’s.

On December 9, from noon until 2pm, Lambtrad will also be donating £1 for every transaction at the town centre restaurant and £1 for every car in the drive thru of its Winterstoke Road and Worle Queensway businesses.

Lambtrad owner Tim Lamb said: “We are very proud to support the foodbank for the third year.

“They are a very worthwhile organisation and at this time of year we feel it is especially important to support our local community.”
