The club has been holding the event for 20 years, and this year’s took place at the Royal Hotel in South Parade.

Rotary Club secretary George Horsfield said: “Rotary is about service, not just fundraising, and this is about doing a service for the charities.

“We organise the event and fund the venue, and they have their own stalls.

“It is very popular with the charities, and most of them said they had a good day.

“There was a real buzz most of the time in the room and everything went pretty well.”

More than 60 charities showcased their activities, sold gifts and held raffles.

Mr Horsfield added: “The vice chairman of North Somerset Council, David Jolley, congratulated all the charities and volunteers for the amazing work that they do in the town.”
